One of the last with rolled tone holes, this is a great free-blowing horn. Nice keywork and reso pads in good condition. Mechanically sound all rollers turn free. Nice sharp Ladyface engraving. It has had the sling hook lowered for comfort. No dents, a couple of small dings which are hard to capture on camera. The neck is in good shape. All set up and ready to play. All new pads, springs, corks, felts etc. This is a really muscular sounding horn. Relacquered, like most of these are (Conn only started to offer lacquered horns c.1930) but the engraving is just visible. Lovely dark honey colour. The horn is remarkably dent-free too. This horn blows very well indeed. A relacquer, on a mixture of pads, but mechanically very sound. Gig ready. Feels good under the fingers. Huge Conn sound, perhaps on the lighter/brighter side for a Chu. Singing top end. Intonation is solid. A lot of tenor saxophone for the money!
